Kapal Bhairav is a young and peaceful form of Lord Bhairav. He is a Trinetri (three-eyed) and depicted as yellow-skinned in his idol.

Kapal Bhairav is a Vajrayuddh form of Lord Bhairav who carries a sword in his one hand and a water goblet in his other hand. He is said to be mastered in Indrani shakti and rides on an elephant. he is extremely considerate for his devotees.

It is believed that Lord Kapal Bhairav guides his devotees in focusing on their work, and he fulfills the desires of his true devotees. As per a belief, he is a guardian of the northwest direction.
