Mansa Devi Temple – Pay Reverence To Goddess Shakti’s Avtaar

According to scriptutes, she emerged from the divine thoughts of Lord Shiva. The term "Mansa" is derived from the concept that sincere devotees who pray to her with unwavering faith have their wishes fulfilled. "Mansa" translates to "wish" in English. A prominent ritual at Mansa Devi Haridwar involves tying threads on the branches of the temple tree, symbolizing prayers and desires.
Upon receiving the desired blessings, devotees return to Mansa Devi Haridwar to untie the thread from the tree. Located in a captivating spot, the temple offers breathtaking views of the holy river Ganges. Due to its sacredness, accessing the temple is not straightforward. It can be reached either by trekking or by utilizing the Mansa Devi Udankhadola, a ropeway transportation system. This temple is also recognized as one of the three Siddh Peeths, with the other two being Chandi Devi Haridwar and Maya Devi Haridwar.
