Shila Devi Mandir: Marvel at the Distinctive Idol and Immerse in its Fascinating History.

In his prayers, the goddess appeared in his dreams, revealing that a statue of hers lay beneath the sea near Jessore (now in Bangladesh). She instructed him to retrieve the statue and construct a temple in her honor.
With determination, the Raja and his followers recovered a sacred slab (Shila) from the depths of the sea. After thorough cleaning, an enchanting idol of the goddess emerged, and thus the temple came to be known as Shila Devi Mandir, in reverence to Mata Kaali's divine manifestation.
