Vaidyanatha Jyotirlinga temple, also commonly known as Baba Baidyanath Dham is situated in Deoghar in the Santhal Parganas division of the state of Jharkhand, India. Vaidyanatha Jyotirlinga temple is the most distinguished temple in the area that draws devotees in crowds every year. Vaidyanatha Jyotirlinga temple or Baba Baidyanath Temple is revered as both a jyotirlinga (sacred representation of Bhagwaan Shiva) and a Shaktipeeth (sacred shrines where the dissever body parts of goddess Shakti fell). The temple is one of the 12 holy sites of jyotirlingas in the country. It is also a home to Bhagwan Ganesha and Mata Parvati. The temple complex consists of the main temple of Baba Baidyanath and 21 other temples.

The temple faces the east and is a plain stone structure with a structure like a pyramid tower and is 72 ft high. On top, there are three compactly set gold vessels and along with a punchshula (five knives in a trident shape), there is also an eight-petaled lotus called Chandrakanta Mani.

Worshipping of Vaidyanatha Jyotirlinga temple or Baidyanath Jyotirlingam begins at 4 AM. The temple doors open at this time. From 4:00 am to 5:30 am. The Puja continues till 3.30 PM. After this, the temple doors are closed. In the evening at 6 PM the doors are opened again for pilgrims and the temple closes at 9:00 pm on a normal day, but during Holy Shravan month, the timings are extended.
