स वै पुंसां परो धर्मो यतो भक्तिरधोक्षजे। अहैतुक्यप्रतिहता ययात्मा सुप्रसीदति॥६॥

The highest (paraḥ) Dharma (dharmaḥ)1 for people (puṁsām) (is) certainly (vai) that (saḥ) in which (yatas) (there is) causeless (ahaitukī) (and) uninterrupted (apratihatā) devotion (bhaktiḥ) to Adho'kṣaja --an epithet of Viṣṇu-- (adhas-akṣa-je)2. By means of that (devotion) (yayā), the self (ātmā) becomes greatly pleased (suprasīdati)3||6||
