The Aearia have a more definite set of Gods on account of their profession. tlieir special deities are Lohasur, the iron-god, Koylasur, the coal-god, and Patharasur Mai, the stone-god. In the places where iron ore is found Lohasur is supposed to dwell. In the pit where iron is melted Patharasur and Koylasur live. In the bellow, Bhudhi-mata, Kamania and Baliudliukan live. In the skin of the cow used for the bellow lives Sallaitrai, etc. Proper offerings ol fowls, pigs and eoats are to be made to the gods each time iron is smelted.
